The Signs:

Disorientation, vomiting, seizures, weakness, retching, excessive salivation, whining

Take Action:

Call your veterinarian immediately. If the source of poisoning is known, have the container with you when you call. You will need the information that is on the packaging to determine the appropriate treatment. You may be advised to call Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) at 1.888.426.4435.

If the source of poisoning is unknown, seek veterinary assistance immediately.

Anti-toxin treatment should be started as soon as possible to minimize absorption of the poison. The phone numbers for your area emergency clinic as well as the number for APCC is located in the back of this book for quick reference.
